A guarantee shall only be valid if accompanied by the respective bill, sales slip or delivery note, if this were later.
2-year guarantee as of the date of sale against any manufacturing or material defect, including labour and spare parts, or replacement of the appliance, unless one of these options is impossible or disproportionate.
If repair or replacement is not possible, the consumer may choose between a price reduction or cancellation of the purchase, with refund of the price paid.
The consumer should go to SOLAC Official Customer Service Centres to have the product repaired and to the sales outlet to replace it, cancel the purchase or obtain a price reduction, as the case may be.
The guarantee shall be cancelled on any of the following grounds:
- If the respective bill, sales slip or delivery note is not presented, or the details have been altered.
- If the appliance has been used improperly, not in accordance with the operating instructions.
- If it has been used for professional and not solely for domestic purposes.
- If the appliance has been taken apart or tampered with by persons other than authorised SOLAC Customer Service engineers.
- If the trouble is the result of scale in the water, impacts, being dropped, or due to use of harmful, chemical, obstructive or corrosive products.
- If the trouble has occurred because of improper maintenance or lack of cleaning.
- If the appliance has switched on at a voltage other than that stated on the specifications label.
The guarantee does not cover perishable accessories, such as vacuum cleaner bags, glass jugs, mixer blades, pressure cooker seals, coffeemaker filters, etc..
The guarantee is only effective in the country where the product was purchased.
This guarantee does not affect the rights pertaining to the consumer under the provisions of the Consumer Goods Sales Guarantee Law 23 of 10 July 2003.
